John Beer

John Beer is well known for his work on English Romantic literature. He lectured in India and the U.S.A. as well as at Manchester University and Cambridge University where he was Emeritus Professor of English Literature and a Fellow of Peterhouse College. His books include Coleridge the Visionary (1959), Coleridge's Poetic Intelligence (1977), Blake's Humanism (1968), Blake's Visionary Universe (1969), Wordsworth and the Human Heart (1978), Wordsworth in Time (1979), Questioning Romanticism (1995) and Romanticism, Revolution and Language (2009).
